First and foremost, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to lipin and karen for putting soo much effort into making the video so that it sees the light of the day. Very much apprecaited and again I couldn't help it but to say sorry for not being able to spend so much time..heard from lipin she did the vid 4 times. I know it aint easy!
Secondly, I have something to confess! Yest was the Inter-district badmiton tourney..the whole story and formation goes like this...
Single I- Jess yeo siao yien
Single II- Shim wei jhien
DoubleI- Elaine ching and lo xiang
DoubleII-Jess yeo siao yien and shim wei jhien
SingleIII-Elaine ching
I won my single but shim unfortunately lost her single, she was somehow carried away..she didn't perform well, she was wayy behind what she's capable of doing and honestly it really disappoints me. So now its 1-1 for both sides and the match that we decided to sacrifice was the
DOUBLE I coz we know it so well that we wouldnt make it thru'. That was planned soo okay,no effect! Then its currently 2-1..Me and shim went into the court, I gave myself to it..I didnt care for ANYTHING AT ALL BUT TO WIN AND MAKE IT ON PAR. YES! THANK GOD,ME AND SHIM AMDE IT THRU' and now its 2-2. Now,it all depends on the last set that is the last single played by elaine..before she stepped into the court I told her "I'VE GIVEN MY BEST TO IT AND I HOPE YOU'LL BE ABLE TO WIN THIS MATCH" She said "OKAY OKAY" I did have confident in Elaine that's why I fought hard for my double in the first place. Things started to change when she was half way thru' the first match, she seems very annoyed and couldnt perform well, she couldn't calm herself. I knew it soo well from her expression that she's under pressure. She blamed herself for small mistakes that she does yet was very determined! She went on but lost the first set. When the points reached 21,she came out and was given a min rest to both sides. She was exhausted as she was breathing heavily..Later,she stepped into the court again.. she was leading..when it was 16-13, everything came to an end..she looked pale and couldnt catch her breath..my coach told me that she isn't okay, sylvia and I immedaitely went into the court to hold on to her..she just lean on us..she couldn't stand on her feet, all WEAK! However, she kept insisting that she is okay and wanted to continue but i told her "NOO!! YOU CAN'T EVEN STAND PROPERLY HOW ARE U SUPPOSED TO CONTINUE PLAYING" That was when the umpire decided to give 5 mins break but the other sch was sorta making a fuss bout it and I then decided to call it off(forfeit) coz there's no way for elaine to recover in 5 mins and play again..I knew she couldnt take it anymore. At the time when she was all pale and expressionless she asked me "YOU DONT WANT ME TO WIN MEH?" There was a brief moment of silence and my eyes were watery, I told her I DO NOT CARE ABOUT IT ANYMORE,JUST WANT HER TO REST AND THATS IT. What really hurts me is that she's doing it for me..seeing her not being able to breathe normally yet still cared so much how I would feel really breaks my heart. I never never knew I had given her such great pressure/impact. She kepts apologising and I feel soo guilty each time. She's mentally determined by physically unable to endure. Nevertheless,Elaine ching,I knew you've done your best and I'm really proud of you. I've never blamed you at all so there's no need of u to blame yourself so my other team mates.
Conclusion,we lost not because my team mates weren't good. They're put in their best. It was ME who caused the whole thing to come to an end,If only I had told elaine to do her best and not putting in mind that we have to win,Perhaps thing would have happen differently. I've learnt something from it and I truly enjoy the day with all of you out there. The support that my lovely friends, coach simon, miss cheryl and mr.ong,of course my unforgettable team mates had given..
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!It isn't all about winning,It's about experiencing. I consider ourselves champions because we've won our FRIENDSHIP! The love and care given at that criticat moment was worth remembering.
To st.andrews, CONGRATULATIONS! Wishing all of you the best for your next match and i hope to play with you guys again in the future. Thanks for the help as well..
Take care!
Luv,
JeSS
